When I arrived at the beach house that Monday, I was greeted by the bustling of friends getting ready and caterers setting up, but there was an overall sense of calm above all else. Desiree and Jeff chose to celebrate with a small group of those closest to them, and it created a day that was full of love, celebration, zero stress and very little schedule. Their dogs slept in the sun on the patio as Desiree and Jeff each got ready, and they had a moment at the base of the staircase before heading out to the backyard for the ceremony. It was so special and perfect for them, as a good friend officiated and they laughed over the fact that they both mentioned the zombie apocalypse in their vows. Family and friends laughed and cried along with them as they stood in a circle around them. Afterwards we took a walk to the beach, just them and their dogs, and it was perfect. They ran through the sand with the dogs and just played for a few minutes, Desiree hiking up her dress so she could run free and enjoy the moment. Afterwards they joined their group for drinks, mingling and dinner and toasted to each other as the sun set outside. All weddings are an honor to attend, but to be one of only 12 people to witness such an amazing day is such an incredible experience and I absolutely loved documenting this day. Desiree and Jeff are the coolest of people and their friends and family were so welcoming, I felt as though I was simply spending the evening with friends. Thank you for having me there and I know you two will have such an amazing future together!
